What Kind of Payment Processing Platforms Do I Use?
I decided to write a post about this topic because it seems that people who do travel around the globe like myself for the past 12 years do ask on a regular basis what I use for my financial household.

At the moment I am located in Malta and I am using:
Revolut:
Great financial/banking app which provides a debit card as well AND here in Malta lots of places like the restaurants, food kiosks, bars etc. do use the Revolut app.
What I also like a lot about this app is the option of locking your cards with a single click, create virtual cards in split second/minute and putting your credit in a so-called safe…
Revolut offers an IBAN and SWIFT number as well, great app and I am using it for 2 years now on a daily basis.
This is so far the most reliable app I ever used…

VivaWallet:
In short VivaWallet is the Revolut for merchants on steroids, yep I said it.
You can accept card payment with your smart phone and send a payment link to your clients where they can fill in their card details and submit payments.
PLUS it integrates flawless with WooCommerce and Shopify.
Is it better than Revolut? Revolut app works 100% flawless but VivaWallet does work great for merchants and has the merchant options that Revolut simply doesn’t offer, YET!
Oh and did I mention the fact that it ONLY charges 1.4% fees while most payment processors charge the normal rates of 3.5% and up? Yep, money saver!

Paypal:
I use Paypal as a last resort option and doesn’t need lost of words from me, I think.
The only reason that I am not the biggest fan of Paypal is the fact they tend to hold payments and yes they did it to me as well.
They do this mostly with new accounts but yes it does happen and as you have read on the internet.
Stripe
I start suing Stripe now the past 3 months because it wasn’t available in Malta before and neither in Bulgaria where I had residence.
But Stripe is fantastic because of the merchant options similar to VivaWallet but even better…
Sending out great looking invoices, send out single payment links and setting up recurring payments makes Stripe better than VivaWallet.
CONCLUSION:
Which one you should choose? Well to be honest I like to be prepared for any kind of payment so I would suggest to create accounts, if possible, for each payment processor…
